Discover Lisbon in Comfort, Style, and Privacy
Experience the magic of Lisbon at your own pace on this private full-day sightseeing tour. Accompanied by a professional local guide, you’ll uncover the soul of Portugal’s capital — from its grand monuments and panoramic viewpoints to its charming neighborhoods and irresistible pastries.
Whether it’s your first visit or a rediscovery, this private tour lets you explore Lisbon’s top landmarks, uncover hidden gems, and learn the fascinating stories that shaped one of Europe’s most captivating cities.
Your day begins at Eduardo VII Park, the largest park in central Lisbon. Named after King Edward VII of Great Britain, who visited Lisbon in 1903 to strengthen ties between the two nations, the park offers a sweeping view over the city’s hills and the Tagus River — a perfect start to your journey.
Step inside Lisbon’s oldest church, the Sé Cathedral, built in 1147 after the Christian reconquest of the city. Admire its remarkable blend of Romanesque and Gothic architecture, and take a moment to appreciate the stunning stained-glass rose window, carefully reconstructed from the original medieval fragments.
Continue to the Nossa Senhora do Monte Viewpoint, one of the city’s highest and most spectacular lookout points. From here, take in a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of Lisbon’s red rooftops, the Castle of São Jorge, and the shimmering waters of the Tagus River.
Cross the 25 de Abril Bridge, a majestic red suspension bridge often compared to San Francisco’s Golden Gate. Spanning the Tagus River and connecting Lisbon’s north and south banks, it stands as a powerful symbol of Portugal’s post-revolution freedom — renamed after the April 25th Revolution of 1974, which ended decades of dictatorship.
After crossing the bridge, visit the Cristo Rei (Christ the King) statue, inspired by Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer. Built in 1934, it offers an incredible panoramic view of Lisbon from its base and stands as a monument of gratitude for Portugal’s peace during World War II.
Next, explore the historic Belém Quarter, a district that pays tribute to the Portuguese explorers of the 15th and 16th centuries. Here, every monument tells a story of maritime glory and global exploration.
Jerónimos Monastery – A masterpiece of Manueline architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Commissioned by King Manuel I, it honors Portugal’s great explorers, including Vasco da Gama, whose tomb rests inside the church.
Belém Tower – Built between 1514 and 1520 to defend Lisbon’s harbor, this fortress became a symbol of the city’s maritime strength. Its ornate stonework and nautical motifs make it one of the jewels of Portugal’s golden age.
Monument to the Discoveries – Erected in 1941 for the Portuguese World Exhibition, this impressive sculpture celebrates the adventurers, monarchs, and visionaries who led the country’s Age of Discoveries.
No trip to Lisbon is complete without tasting the iconic Pastéis de Belém, the original custard tarts baked in this neighborhood since 1837. You’ll visit the famous bakery, enjoy one of these warm, creamy pastries (included in your tour), and learn the local ritual for savoring them — with a sprinkle of cinnamon and powdered sugar.
